Thanksgiving Hat Tournament returns Saturday 11/18

Our annual Thanksgiving Hat Tournament returns Saturday, November 18 at Lansdowne Middle School from 12:30 until dark!

What’s a Hat Tournament?
Teams are formed by the random drawing of names from a hat. You will then play with that team all afternoon in a spirited one day round-robin tournament.

Teams will be formed when a quorum is achieved, so please arrive on time!

Who can play?
Anyone that is 18 years old or older.

What’s provided?
Hot chocolate, apple cider, sodas, snack food, etc

Should I bring anything?

Although the hat tournament is free, please bring a donation of two (or more) canned goods. Donations of clothing, toys, baby furnishings and any household items will be gratefully accepted. All donations will go to the Catonsville Emergency Assistance, which serves greater Catonsville residents with emergency food, eviction prevention, and utility cut-off intervention.

Additionally, please bring some food for our feast: chips & salsa, cookies, chili, veggies, etc.

(Also, don’t forget a light and a dark t-shirt)

What about rain?
If rain is threatening, call 301-490-1860 Saturday morning for the official cancellation word. A cancellation notice will also be posted on this website and on facebook.

Anything else?
Volunteers are always needed! Please email cmuacomm@gmail.com if you can help with set up, fields, or clean up!

Join us for the Open Board Meeting 11/3

Join us for an open discussion with the CMUA board about how we can continue to improve our leagues, and better serve the CMUA community on Friday, November 3 from 6-8 p.m. at The Port Public House, 1229 Hull St, Baltimore.

We will review feedback from the summer league surveys, and provide a snapshot for the coming year.

This year, rather than have members submit proposals, we plan to have several small group discussions. We encourage you to prepare notes and thoughts on a variety of subjects including: summer league(s), female recruitment and retention, youth involvement, and social events.

Meet and greet starting at 6. Meeting will begin around 6:30. See you then!
