Pikesville Ultimate Disc Association
Spring 2018 Youth Leagues (ages: 8-13)
Boys: Wednesdays, weeks of April 11 – May 30, 6:15-7:45 PM
In addition to the sport component, we use the Boy-to-Mentsch curriculm which directs youth athletes on a path to become a man of substance and character, a mentsch. Pillars of curriculum are 1) Communicating without Anger, 2) Empathy, 3) Being Part of a Team and 4) Conflict Resolution.
Girls: Tuesdays, weeks of April 10 – May 29, 5:30-7:00 PM
Partner organization is Girls Ultimate Movement, also known as GUM. GUM is a nationwide outreach program by USA Ultimate designed to increase girls’ participation in the sport of ultimate. GUM puts girls at the center by creating opportunities that focus on girls in order to promote leadership development, build self-confidence, and develop a sense of community. Playing ultimate has positive physical and mental health impacts and the lessons learned translate to experiences at school and work.

Towson Recreation Council (TRC)
Towson Recreation Council is putting on a co-ed Middle School league. The league will take place on Sundays from 4–5:30 p.m. from April 8–May 13 at Meadowood Regional Park.
The first two weeks of the season will be focused on introducing players to basic skills and the rules of the game. For the remaining four weeks players will continue to develop their skills and will play in league games. Some Middle School practices will be split by gender and some will be co-ed.
COST: $50 per player
EQUIPMENT: Players will be provided a jersey. Wearing cleats is recommended.

Howard County is looking for several volunteers to coach at a weekly youth clinic for U11 & U15. The clinic begins on April 12 and runs for 6 weeks. Please contact Mark Simons for more information.
McDonogh Ultimate Frisbee Camp
Ages: Boys and Girls 11 to 18
Hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Dates: June 25 to June 29
The McDonogh Ultimate Frisbee Camp, co-sponsored by Central Maryland Ultimate Association (CMUA) and directed by head-coach Tommy Barber, is a youth ultimate camp offering ultimate frisbee skill and strategy instruction open for all ability levels, beginners through advanced. Ultimate frisbee is a fast-paced game where teams work together to move the frisbee down the field by throwing it to score in the end-zone.
Ultimate Frisbee Camp Director Tommy Barber is the head-coach for the Catonsville High School Ultimate team and has been playing ultimate for 10 years on various teams including the University of Maryland Men’s team, American Hyperbole (Mixed Club), and currently 8-bit Heros (Mixed Club).
