Blackout Youth Hat Tournament

On Saturday, November 18th, Maryland Blackout and CMUA will host a youth hat tournament from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Spring Grove Turf Field on Maple Drive in Catonsville, MD.

All U20 youth players are welcome to join, including those players who just finished a season on a YCC team. We hope for a range of skill and abilities for a spirited and fun day of ultimate. Players are allowed to register with 1 other player as baggage. This means that they will be put on the same team and will be able to play together during the tournament.

Registration check in starts at 9:00 am, and games will start at 9:30 am. Games will finish up at about 1:00 pm. There is no fee to play, but we will be accepting canned goods or other household items for donation. All donations will go to the Catonsville Emergency Assistance, which serves greater Catonsville residents with emergency food, eviction prevention, and utility cut-off intervention.

Holiday-themed costumes are encouraged!

CMUA Annual Thanksgiving Hat

Our annual Thanksgiving Hat Tournament returns Saturday, November 18th at Lower Banneker, from 10:30 a.m. until 4 p.m.

It’s free to play, but a donation of two (or more) canned goods or other household items is requested. Also, you’re encouraged to bring snacks for the snack table!

What is a Hat Tournament?
A Hat Tournament is a tournament where the teams are formed by the random drawing of names from a hat. You will then play with that team all afternoon in a spirited one day round-robin tournament.

Teams will be formed when a quorum is achieved, so please arrive on time!

Donations will be gratefully accepted. All donations will go to the Catonsville Emergency Assistance, which serves greater Catonsville residents with emergency food, eviction prevention, and utility cut-off intervention.

If you’re planning on attending, please RSVP on the Facebook event so we know how many people to expect.

Don’t forget a light and a dark t-shirt!

Volunteers are always needed! Please email cmuacomm@gmail.com if you can help with set up, fields, or clean up!
